They've always worked fine for me and still are today. Do you have a dial-up or high-speed connection? I have a high-speed cable connection, but some of my friends with dial-up can't watch videos, as they pause every few seconds to reload or just stop completely.

and using Safari.  YouTube used to work just fine but about the last six months I have had trouble playing stuff on YouTube.  I don't see the red bar indicating that its downloading.  Like I said, it will play for about 5 seconds then quit and then ask if I want to "play again" or "share video".

Do I have to sign up with an account to play videos?

I'm a blue drop in a red bucket.

That's strange. I haven't had any problems at all like that, and I've played quite a few videos in the past months and over the past few days. And I've never signed up for an account. Maybe it's your browser. I'm using Internet Explorer.

Is this happening only when you're clicking on the video links here on dkos? I've noticed that when I click on Al's links, I have to double click before it will work, and then it takes me to the You Tube website before playing. But when I click on the links the other poster, d3n4l1, is posting of the same videos, the little screen plays but I'm still on daily kos.

Do you still have the problem if you go to the You Tube website instead of going through dkos?
