Cornel West did NOT blast Obama.  In fact Cornel West went out of his way to say that he had positive feelings about Obama.  What Cornel West said was that he was not impressed with Obama starting off his campaign in Springfield, IL at the same time as the State of the Black Union conference, which is a MAJOR political event in the African-American community, though it receives scant notice in these parts. Obama was conspicuous by his absence.  Cornel West did warn against Obama's candidacy being used by white people for their own purposes which may not be the same interest as the African-American community.  I agree 100% with Cornel West, especially judging from many of the comments I've been reading on this blog over the weekend.  To be blunt, your comments are BULLSHIT.

The only politician I saw was Bobby Scott who represents the area in which the conference was held.

Cause i've got an idea about why Obama might not have shown up at the SOTBU conference to announce why he is running for prez.   Care to guess what that is?

I can tell you one thing for sure.  Hillary Clinton's candidacy is being used by white people for their own purposes.
