Is that what you're saying? There should be no critical thought?

I suspect the headline writer who gofed here is of the same mind as so many others at DKos - Oabama must never be criticized or it's racism.

Well, screw that. If you're a candidate, you're open to criticism. Period.

Criticize Obama and any other candidate for record or positions on issues . Obama has a public record for his two years in the Senate and his time in the Illinois House. Any vote, non vote or position is fair game.

People here are really jumping to conclusions and fabricating new code words which, up until reading this article, I didn't know even existed.

So describing a person as uptight is "racist?" Really? I don't think so.

Where is this list of code words kept? Can you post a link?

    •  Criticism should have nothing (0+ / 0-)

to do with the way a man holds his head or puts his hand to his chin or whatever nonsense the writer cleaimed Obama did that in the writer's mind, showed arrogance. It's nonsene.

Barack Obama is a charming man, and the implication is that charm is somehow a white quality, so his charm, his "braininess" indicate his white side. This is all rubbish, written by people who are not half as clever as they think they are..

Criticize his abilities, his policies, his ideas. If Barack Obama decides he needs to "get in touch" with whatever part of himself he feels is neglected, let it be his business. I personally would doubt that Obama has any such feelings. He strikes me as a pretty solid man who knows who he is, where he comes from, and where he is going.

"the implication is that charm is somehow a white quality"

I don't think so. When I read the story it's a question of Obama being comfortable with himself, versus Obama being uptight. These qualities matter in a candidate so are fair game for a column.
