    going to jam up the "internets", why not use it for something practical and have school sessions at home.  This, of course, will only apply to kids who have computers.  But that, today, is many millions.  Teachers can put the lessons online and parents can supervise to make sure the kids are doing them.  Perhaps the school systems can even lend out computers from the classrooms themselves to kids that don't have them.  Just sayin'.

      including cable tv, pre-packaged curriculum and internet learning.

      Of course, my kids multitask when they do homewokr...
