"innocent until proven guilty," but could we at least apply "innocent until charged"???

...work on different standards of evidence.  And since you don't seem to be disputing this report, and the evidence on the FEC page--based on information provided by McKinney's own campaign--is overwhelming.

If you want to believe in fantasy, I guess we can't keep you from doing so.

about an ex-Congresswoman.  I really don't care that much.  But I do care enough to give a person a fair shake without immediately believing every charge leveled against them, especially when even those experts cited in the article aren't ready to jump on the guilt bandwagon.

...to look up her campaign finance report was so arduous and so much more time than you've invested on this thread talking about something about which you clearly know very little.

the diary and cited article both acknowledge the FEC report, none of us need to look it up to verify that the AP reporter is telling the truth.  You know very well that the FEC report alone means nothing.  If it did, the very critical AP article would not be citing experts saying that it's very possible that there is nothing unethical going on.

            Hop off the crusade.

...that the FEC report means nothing.  In fact, I operate under the assumption that almost no journalists understand campaign finance.  Since I have worked with campaign finance issues for years, I know it well.  And the McKinney campaign themselves did not report any debt on their FEC report.  Therefore, she either broke the law in her campaign finance reporting, or she's engaging in fraud now by soliciting funds to retire a non-existent debt.
