For crying out loud, I know politics is a dirty business. But I really wish the Democrats, at least, could agree for just one election cycle to shelve the negative tactics during the primaries.

Why is there the perception that the Democrats are no better than the Rethugs? Crap like this.

Why, last November notwithstanding, have we been on the electoral defensive for the last 40 years? Crap like this. Beating the hell out of each other for a nomination weakens everybody. See the recent California gubernatorial primary as an example.

I'm not 100% behind anyone in this race yet, but Gibbs sure isn't doing anything good for Obama in my eyes.

Please, please, please: there are greater things at stake than personal political gain, folks. The first viable candidate who can maintain a positive tone through the Dem primary will be the winner in my eyes.

Remember: It's nothing more than the biggest heist in human history.

    •  Good luck with that. (0+ / 0-)

I'm sorry, but if we run a totally "positive tone" campaign from here on out, then why have a primary?  It wasn't the bloody primary that caused Arnold's was Angeledes being a crappy candidate.  We could have run a kumbaya primary...and Angeledes would still have lost by 20 points...cause ran a suckky race.
