    They were not lying unless they were intentionally misleading.

    is drawn an unsubstantiated conclusion (that Bush was duped) when there is an ample amount of evidence to the contrary. Some of this evidence has even been printed in their paper.
    Were they actually functioning as journalists the question of the administration's involvement in actively and deliberately misleading the American people would and should be a subject worthy of investigation. What they are doing here is presenting the administration as victims of Chabali and this is nonsense and propaganda.

      is still a lie IMO.  To me it's worse than a blatant outright lie because there's complicity in it.

      Americans seem to be more concerned with taking their own lifestyles from 10 to 11 than to help others bring theirs from 0 to 1.

        I agree. I've been thinking about writing an essay about the variety of lies using statements from the administration as examples.
