  •  So they stopped the hearing ... (9+ / 0-)

"by mistake?" OR, was it to stuff a sock in Sampson's mouth? Or, perhaps they needed to find W's secret earplug system so they could tell Sampson how to answer questions once back in...anyone see a box under his jacket?
Really, they took the boy and slapped him upside the head to tell him to shut his yap!

Grassley voted with the Dems to issue subpoenas, something even the "moderate" Specter didn't do.

I don't know what's up with him, but it seems to be something.

They probably water-boarded him in the closet.

Republicans.  I think the WH should be scared of him.  The thing that is so heartening about the last few days is that Republicans are starting bit by bit to jump ship.  On Iraq, and soon on this.

I want them to do the right thing, too.  Even though I will never vote Republican, I don't want to demonize them or hate them.  For the good of their own party, and ultimately for the good of the country, they need to jump ship.

Grassley will be one of the first ones. Inshallah.

continue to try making it easier for them to do so. If they won't be moral and ethical leaders of their own party, let's invite them to join us as followers in doing the right thing.

I wouldn't mind rewarding Repugs who see the light with positive emails as this thing unfolds. Appealing to their better angels (if any), as it were.
