    and the right thing to do, a moral and constitutional imperative, this foot-dragging begins to make one wonder if they're not opposed to the idea of opposing bush on principle.

    like the president himself, incompetance over a long enough period of time starts to look less like incompetence and more like a plan in itself to accomplish that reality.

    are the democrats committed to preserving republican hegemony, regardless of  their current majority status? if not, why are they so careful to preserve the structure of republican power and rhetoric? why so hesitant to move on a president polling in the 20s, universally reviled?

    if not, why the foot dragging, guys? waiting for a republican to lead you?
