  •  Let's keep the WhiteOut (0+ / 0-)

away from what's left of the Constitution, at least for a while.

I don't see  two party dominance of a ridiculously expensive campaign structure specified anywhere in the text.

Does the Constitution say anything about a primary season? TV Ads? Fundraising?

It does have that tired crap about the Electoral College, which made sense at the time. Still, I can't see opening up the Bill of Rights to editing, just to get rid of the EC.

Easier to require electoral votes to be assigned fractionally according to popular vote.

Stranger than fiction? At this point, the truth is stranger than japanese cartoons...

    •  my concerns are about unitary powers (0+ / 0-)

and clarifications of the separation of power. Not that it needs great changes, but tweeks as you mentioned re the EC.( which I agree w/ you on. )
But more importantly, the public awareness of it all. America has been dumbed down to a very dangerous level, and the only cure at the basic level is to have this become a public discussion.

    •  A tweek is needed. (0+ / 0-)

I can't remember Jeffersons exact quote, but, it goes something like: "trying to fit a man into a boys clothing"

As you correctly state, the founders could not have forseen the growth or technological changes that have taken place. We need to address those issues.
