    it's not the payments you make that sets when it kicks in, it's the total price of the meds that you pharm. charges. If the med would cost 200 dollars, but you co-pay is 5 bucks, it's the 200 dollars that goes in the total. I believe it kicks in at 2600 dollars to 3600 ( numbers ain't my strong point ) The comsumer must pay out of pocket until the 3600 number is met. The 1st yrs of this program it was possible to buy "gap coverage" so you didn't need to worry about it, but the ins. companys did away with that the 2nd yr., and would only cover generics. The coverage of generics only is going to be the next big snafu that will hurt people.
