  •  Obama sounds to me like business as usual (9+ / 0-)

at least for the foreign policy. I wish for a US President who rules out the use of force. How would the US people like it if the rest of the world would bomb the US because we think your President is "is reckless, irresponsible, and inattentive". I want the US to stop playing leader of the world. The US president is not elected world leader by the World community, he is only elected president of the US.

Obama is taking money from the same pro-Israel funders that backed the Clintons.  This is a given in Democratic Party Presidential politics.  He has to cater to that group to fund his campaign.  Until the base (us) can provide the same kind of clout, either in cash or in organizing, the mainstream Democratic candidates will remain hostage to AIPAC.  It's not about Obama, it's about the funding.

If I had the right to vote I  would have to make my judgement about him by what he says and not by what he might mean. If he says these things to cater to AIPAC that would make him even less palatable to me and would be a reason not to vote for him.

        •  yup, exactly, what Obama says is what matters! (0+ / 0-)

How many times now have we seen the pro-Obama Kossacks here have to bend over backwards to "interpret" for us what Obama "means" about Iraq?

Obama's recent statements to the press about Iraq have been so lame and embarrasing and counterproductive, the pro-Obama Kossacks here have to immediately rush to apologetically say, "oh, Obama really meant so-and-so, just read his 2002 statement about Iraq, blah blah blah."

          How pathetic!
