and in the only public polling to date she is below 50%, and Brad as of yet does not have name recognition.

Further, I was in a VERY political bar on the Hill today, and someone who is a very longtime and astute observer of politics commented that she seems lethargic, without much fire, in how she acts and speaks right now.  He wonders if she is really up for another run.  Oh, and btw, Brad is (a) a much more effective candidate than Erskine Bowles, (b) will probably draw a stronger level of support in the African-American community, and (c) has the ability to raise a LOT of money online.

I responded to BlueSouth's comment that "people who live near his district probably know his name..." If you disagree, take it up with him.

I totally agree with the people in the VERY political bar on the Hill. That doesn't mean a majority of NC voters will.  In fact, I would expect a majority of NC voters to disagree with almost any opinion expressed in a VERY political bar on the Hill.

      a) An apricot would be a much more effective candidate than Bowles. I still wouldn't recommend nominating one to run against Dole.

      c) I'm a Deaniac, so, while I'm confident that the media and other parasites who feed off of our multi-billion dollar political industry will be very pleased to have a candidate that can raise a LOT of money online, don't look to me to get all excited about it.
