  •  And a Roscoe Bartlett carried the regalia (5+ / 0-)

Congressman Roscoe Bartlett (R-MD). A week ago, his press spokesperson said that Bartlett "received the Ambassadors for Peace Award from the Washington Times Foundation for his work in Congress, and attended part of the banquet ... this was the sum total of his participation." ABC News has now learned that Bartlett was the one who carried Moon's imperial robes up to the platform for the crowning ceremony. Bartlett now explains that he's seen lots of people crowned King or Queen at proms, 4-H festivals, etc., so he didn't think there was anything odd about his helping to crown convicted felon and declared "Messiah and Returned Lord" Moon as the world "King of Peace"

... is that if one has a 'Messiah Complex' (as Bush the Younger seems to have), then tens of thousands of people lose their lives in an illegal/immoral war and a brutal occupation.

And the Democrats are stuck with cleaning up the resulting mess for years, if not decades, to come.

At very minimum Moon is engaged in blasphemy and heresy.  His theology claims that Christ failed at redeeming humanity from sin, and that he (Moon) has come to complete Christ's work.

Then there's the matter of all those teenagers who got sucked into the Moonies and effectively brainwashed, and denied access to and by their own families.  Family values...?

Seems to me someone should be making a huge stink about this in the Evangelical world in particular.

        Why the deafening silence?

And he's a green card holder, which means he should not be involved in domestic electoral politics.  Why hasn't he been thrown the hell out of the country?  If there was ever a person for whom the term "undesirable alien" fit to a proverbial T, Moon is the one.
