  •  I actually heard him on C-SPAN this morning (3+ / 0-)

and thought he did a damn good job of bringing up the fact that everybody with active brain cells has completely lost confidence in Dubya.
But, what do I know...I'm a rookie to this whole thing. IMHO it was impressive. Nancy did a good job with her presentation too, although she looked a little tired.
    Anyways...Peace ;)>

When watching a magician, don't pay any attention to the patter.  Don't listen to what they say.  Watch what they do.

Reid and Pelosi have both promised all along to fully fund this war.  At every step along the way, some lead Democrat always comes out and makes it perfectly crystal clear that blocking the funding is something the Democrats will never do.

Everything up till now was theater.  Its been all smoke and mirrors.  Now the Dems are going to line up and vote to support this war ... again.  They've voted to authorize it, they've voted to fund it every year, they vote to support ridiculous Pentagon budgets ... they'll line up again this time to vote to support it again.

Oh, whoever is whipping the vote will release a few Dems at the end to cast some more symbolic votes against it.  Once they know they've got the votes lined up for more death and destruction, they'll release a few votes they don't need.

But, make no mistake.  The Democratic leadership in Congress has clearly said from the beginning that they were going to fund this war for another year.  And that's what they are going to do.

Watch the votes on the money bills.  That's what really counts.  Don't pay any attention to what they say.

      Democrats, the other War Party.

"I will not vote for or support any candidate for Congress or President who does not support a speedy end to the war in Iraq."
