  •  Broder and puppies: perfect together (0+ / 0-)

When Broder was asked to explain "Why is it so hard for you to admit that Bush is, in fact, a uniquely bad president...?" He hides behind the skirts of the American public because he says "I am unwilling to assume that I am so much smarter than the voting public that I will dismiss as worthless someone they have chosen as president of the United States."

Neeed we remind him yet again of the truth of the elections that placed Bush in power?

In the 2000 election, Bush did not gain the support of the majority of the voting public. It was only the manipulated mechanics of the electoral college that allowed Bush the presidency. In 2004 Bush appears to have won by a slight majority of voters although many studies indicate a host of suspicious and fraudulent results especially in the key state of Ohio.

Even so, one could not equate the selection of a candidate based on promises and presumptions with observable actions and results. Would the people of Louisiana have voted Republican if they had known how Bush would let New Orleans drown?

When it comes to cynically manipulative morons like Broder the best response is to use his column for its intended purpose: a target for puppy piss.
