    video game designer all when I was a kid, and developed a good understanding of how NES, SNES and early PC games worked, but decided it wouldn't be the most positive contribution I could make to society.  (This decision mostly came before the Columbine shootings, BTW.)

    I remember how the media played tapes of Eric Harris naming his sawed-off "Arlene" (after a character in the Doom books...funny thing is those books are so obscure I'd never heard of it even though I'd beaten the Doom games many times; I've since read the books--they're not bad considering how hard it is to write a book out of a non-RPG game.)

    Harris, Klebold, and especially Cho had problems that had nothing to do with games...
