-- maybe it's from mothering (speaking again of the time not spent with our families this weekend:-) a child with learning disabilities, testing dysfunction, etc.  Or from my one, thankfully only experience with test anxiety. . . .

Plus little that we do in life really resembles everything coming down to what we do in one day, or even less than one hour.  So I put more points into endurance tests, i.e., attendance, participation, assignments all semester -- weighted more toward the end to truly reward endurance as well as improvement (and even excellence!).

is the cause, in the verbal and memory areas -- so you can imagine all the learning disabilities and testing dysfunctions from that.  Plus, other resulting problems from the TBI require daily medications that cause a lot of memory problems in themselves.

It has been a battle! mostly with schools, of course, which is so angering for me as a teacher.  And now, as my child is out of school (we gave up on any college coming through on the legal requirements and my child turned 25 so needed to get health insurance coverage for all those meds), we have dealt with discrimination by employers, once they find out about invisible disabilities (for example, in a fire drill, when there are flashing lights, my child has to explain that she has to leave or there will be problems. . . .).

never heard them referred to as 'testing dysfunctions'.

invisible disabilities are a pain.....Mine are invisible, too.
