I've had my share of excitement, hardship, childhood trauma etc.
I've worked dozens of oddball jobs, from lobster and crab fishing, to carpentry and cement finishing, partime musician, waiter, cook and shrimp sheller. I worked as a laborer on the 7 mile bridge in the Florida Keys. ( I started out for the island of Dominica in 1979 to start a bird quarantine station, and ran out of money in the Keys). I also did a little work as a smuggling apprentice while there, but that's another story. lol. I raised two wonderful children as a single father for ten years, and was the legal guardian of my kid brother who died this past year after thirty years of health problems brought on by childhood brain cancer. Throughout most of this I struggled with some serious addiction problems before cleaning up my act 15 years ago. My life so far has been different and more challenging from most people I know, but I cannot imagine the internal struggle you had to endure to become who you are today. I sure enjoy knowing you here.

The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same." Carlos Castaneda
