  •  Beware (none)
We all wondered what Bushco would do to win if it were on the ropes- here it is.

Push CA (which as Ahnuld showed us is vulnerable to populist manipulations) to reapportion.  I'm sure by 2008 ALL states would- but for now - 2004- if JUst CA and CO are doing it- we lose BIG TIME (unless there is a landslide).

Dems better get ON THE BALL and get this thing through in Florida.

Some other states where this would be mighty handy:

ANy number of southern states (like Georgia with the Atlanta area) where there are 2-3 EVs to be had in sure Bush territory.

Missouri-- at least 4 for Kerry here.

    Arizona-- Ditto.

This is playing with fire people - it has to be all or nothing or we're sunk.

No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son of Tricky Dicky gonna mother hubbard soft soap me, with just a pocket full of hope. Money for dope...Money for rope... --Jo

    •  This points out the problem with.. (4.00)
... a state-by-state process of reforming the electoral college.  Here too, the numbers are against us.  We need to convince 3 times as many RED states to reform, while only a few populous BLUE states reforming can put the presidency out of reach for us for... well, forever.
