thank you for shining a light into the cave of libertarianism.

Ron Paul isn't peculiar when it comes to Libertarianism (or for you hairsplitters, liberatarianis, either).

Hopefully, as people see more of this, the claptap of "libertarian democrats" will stop.

is that Paul isn't even a good libertarian.  When it comes to abortion and gay rights, Paul is just fine with goverment intervention.

They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.

He has every right to be pro-life just as many democrats are. A living being has rights, in his view, and he considers a fetus a living being. It isn't inconsistent with who he is as a person.

He isn't against "gay rights" anymore than any other Republican presidential candidate, and why you would hammer Paul to support a Neoconservative Nationalist such as Guiliani is the real shame.

While that may be true (it actually isn't true) but no other Republican presidential candidates are getting praised on DailyKos.

If you want to support a nutty, anti-war candidate, support Dennis Kucinich.

because he can be used to forcefully split the republican party... nothing more and nothing less.

That is what is seriously missing in your consideration. This guy needs liberal support to guarentee his stand within the GOP primary. He is throwing the neocons off their game and position, and that is the whole damn point.
