    Is it because we see (and want to address) so many different potentialities? Progressives really need to work on developing the equivalent of an 'executive summary' for everyday use and sticking to it in most appearances.  We get bogged down in the details and people can't figure out what we stand for.  Details are important for making things work, but not for campaigning.
