    they are passed up the food chain and insect eaters like fish and birds die. By then, we should have a new generation of mosquitoes that have developed some resistance to our chemicals so we can get right to work on a new batch. I don't know about you but the commercials where "dear old Dad" in the 'burbs is bragging about how his lawn is the greenest gives me the creeps. He liberally sprinkles the toxins around and smiles as he watches his kids rolling around in the grass with the family dog. In Calif, we have the dueling Dads spraying at some weeds that have the temerity to pop up in a crack in their sidewalk. Pull the damn things out by hand! You probably need the exercise anyway. I have a pretty well watered yard here in So Cal and I go around and pop the suckers out with a tool or yank them out. They really don't grow back that fast.
