      Rachel taught many people for the first time the concept of oneness.

      Old-school reductionist thinking  ( i.e. that same Competitive Enterprise Institute of propaganda) leaves little room for outside-of-the-box thinking: That DDT sprayed to kill insects might also endangered eagles was a whole new way of broad-perspective thinking for many people.

      Since we are going to need more and more of that kind of thinking in our immediate future, ( re: climate change and widespread chemical change) yes, thank you Rachel, for getting us started.

      And here in Wisconsin the bald eagle has recovered well.  Growing up in the 1970s I rarely saw one.  Now they are breeding more and more even in some  southern (i.e., agricultural) counties
