cause both the books i came here to gush about tonight involve friends
Today on the plane to az I finished The Book Thief- this book took me 2 weeks to read which is unusual but I was working extra hours and trying to run errands and pack but I did finish during the flight today and WOW what a powerful book.  I really don't want to say too much about the friendship angle as there are so many in the book but I give this book a 10 out of 10
And my other gusher is A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khalid Hosseini which I both started and finished on the plane today.  I will be reading this one again.  This was a much better book than Kite Runner (which I loved) IMHO and I can't even recommend it enough. Again, delving into the friendship theme here would be impossible w/out giving away too much and since this was just released yesterday I want to give people some time to read it and digest it.
Next up...the new Al Gore Book and sleep! nite all :)

very much!  I, too, was afraid to say much over at plf's, but the characters are wonderful and it is so touching.

I will write down Suns, thanks.  I wasn't able to read Kite.  I jsut couldn't do it.

      Have a wonderful weekend!
