  •  He Can't Win the Nomination, Popular as He Is (0+ / 0-)

with intellectuals, he can't beat the Clinton machine in this new corporatized gigaprimary system unless she has a nukeyaler meltdown or falls ill.

which means that she could survive her term in office as long as she continued to support big business and the MIC. Maybe Al knows it would be too dangerous to run, or that he would have to start lying about important issues to survive. I sure wouldn't blame him if he does not run. I just think we are so far down the road of being controlled by the forces that have already aggregated huge amounts of capital that Al as President could put a dent in that machine. But put too big a dent in the current power structure and you end up dead. I hate saying it but I now think it is true.

Steve Jobs a/c to this Time article is lobbying Gore to run. And, as a board member at Google, he's done good things for Google, so a  nice chunk a Silly Valley change would back up his candidacy. I am not counting him out. I believe him when he says he's still deciding. He's a thinker. Let him think, and I'm thinking hard too and thinking he will conclude what we all know to be true. For the second time, he can win this job as this world's most powerful individual, and he can turn that power to the advantage of the Earth and its people.

At the moment, Gore is running a terrifically persuasive campaign fueled by the passion he feels for the environment, which means the people who live on this Earth. Seventy-two percent of the people in these united states abhor what has been done to this world on behalf of the oil and military industries. Al Gore can, and I hope will, lead in a new and positive direction. We are on the brink. He has the passion and knowledge to take us back from the brink and onto a safer path.

    •  The best thing that happened to Clinton (0+ / 0-)

.... was Obama.  She does not have the African-American vote as did her husband.  This HURTS big time and she and Bill know it!

Obama may not and likely will not win the nomination (for racial reasons) but he WILL put a dent in her campaign - leaving the way for ..... Gore? Edwards? Who?
