    of the fear and propaganda.

We are going to be reminded of how Bush's policies have "kept us safe" only by pulling one of these foiled plots out of the dark every six to twelve weeks.

An infinite number of John Walker Lindhs ( wiki )( Alternet) will become the new Bin Laden, because Bin Laden hasn't been the president's concern since 2002:

Q    But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive?

THE PRESIDENT:  Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him.  And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure.  And, again, I don't know where he is.  I  --  I'll repeat what I said.  I truly am not that concerned about him.  I know he is on the run.  I was concerned about him, when he had taken over a country.  I was concerned about the fact that he was basically running Afghanistan and calling the shots for the Taliban.

This idea will be sold to prove that Al Qaeda doesn't have to 'follow us home' (from Iraq). As Newt pointed out, we havent censored enough of the internet yet to keep them from brainwashing our own.

"And, my prediction to you is that ether before we lose a city, or if we are truly stupid, after we lose a city, we will adopt rules of engagement that use every technology we can find to break up their capacity to use the internet, to break up their capacity to use free speech, and to go after people who want to kill us to stop them from recruiting people before they get to reach out and convince young people to destroy their lives while destroying us.

This is a serious problem that will lead to a serious debate about the first amendment, but I think that the national security threat of losing an American city to a nuclear weapon, or losing several million Americans to a biological attack is so real that we need to proactively, now, develop the appropriate rules of engagement."

If "they" can use free speech for evil, how long will it take for the danger of letting Americans use it as well will become too great? Before you laugh at me, think about where this is heading

This is the new Republican platform for 2008, and the beginning of the end of this country as we know it if too many people buy into the fear.

I'm not going to read RedState tonight, because I know that once the Kool-Aide gets swallowed over there, they are going to be Googling every member of Kos to label us traitors for not censoring this site and surrendering to Bush's fear.

George Orwell is banging on his coffin lid and screaming, "1984 was a cautionary tale, you dolts, not a motivational speech!"
