of Edwards as a cheerleader. I also find it hard to be "against the war" (4 1/2 years early apparently) when you vote to fund said war. The recent vote was a sham and he got rightfully called out on it last night.

My real point is that you should think of what percentage of Americans wanted to go to war with Iraq. About 3/4 of the US wanted to. Fast forward.... About 3/4+ want to be out of Iraq.... I ask you JJ, can about 225 other Americans besides John Edwards be "panderers" then as well by your definition?

Good for the people who have changed their mind, including Edwards. But for all the talk from Edwards supporters about how their candidate, and only their candidate, is a leader, sticking your finger in the wind is not really what a leader does, IMO. In fact, it's kind of the exact opposite of leadership.  Also, none of those other 225 million people are running for president, but Edwards is. Also, as far as funding, I dont equate funding with being for the war. Russ Feingold voted for the funding the war, he voted for the 87 billion supplemental that Kerry and Edwards voted against. So my question to you would be, was Feingold(and others who voted "no" on the war intially) pro-war because they vote to fund it?

It's says a lot about conservatism when they have to add "compassionate" to it
