I collected a while ago. NAFTA is a really bad plan that hurts humans and the environment and benefits a few corporate shareholders. No way to excuse it.

are more objective than your obviously biased treatment.

Here is what I think of folks like you. I think that  you are against the Democratic party itself (eg supportive of spoiler 3rd party runs).

Notwithstanding your kind of whining and bashing, Gore has the capacity to unify Dems, liberals, progressives, moderates and even rational ones among Republicans, by resorting to reason.

You people can't stand that, because diving and driving wedges serves your interests the best, one of which I believe is to rend the Democratic party, in your misguided way of thinking.

In my opinion Nader and folks like him should join the Democratic party big tent, and run in the primary system, instead of waging what are amounting to spoiler general election runs.

FWIW, Nader and Gore had a pleasant meeting last year: When Nader met Gore.

brush strokes. I am, and have been, a supporter of Gore. I also wish he had been our President for the last six and one-half years. Nothing would please me more than his candidacy again. But, I also don't like to see discourse that is dismissive and mean-natured.

        I think, therefore I am, I think.

    •  there are no excuses. Only 'What's Next' (0+ / 0-)

Fair and balanced trade can be mutually beneficial to the countries involved. Due to dramatic wage differences, it is hard to figure out what is "fair and balanced" trade.

It is however a fact that the US' trade is better balanced with Mexico and Canada (about 75c export for every 1$ imports), than the rest of the world combined (about 50c exports for every $ imports).

It is also the case that without a trade deal, you CAN NOT impose conditions such as labor/env protections on the countries you trade with in the open market.

What didn't work in NAFTA or any other trade deal should be fixed. Labor unionization should be strongly encouraged, but everything we do should be based on facts, logic, reason, sense and common sense, and not spin and demagoguery.

    •  just not true (0+ / 0-)

NAFTA has some problems but it also creates jobs and it is not responsible for harm to the environment.  No logic to that at all.

    •  So... you agree with Pat Buchanan. (0+ / 0-)

The rightie SOBs ain't wrong about everything.

Jefferson and the Dixie Chicks. Imus and Lenny Bruce. Overcome evil with good.
