And "worked with" is different from "seeking advice."

        politics is different than policy.

      •  How can you even say that? (2+ / 0-)

Powell lied at the UN in front of the whole world.

I trusted him.  He betrayed the nation on behalf of Bush.

Besides what Edwards does or does not do, doesn't excuse Obama from using good sense.

If Powell is the kind of person that Obama wants to reach out to, then I certainly wonder what is going on. I generally think of Obama as a very bright man.   But Powell???

DL you are not going to whitewash what Powell did are you?

Iraq intelligence? That puts him in the same boat as John Edwards.

Neither one had the right to declassify information (at least I don't think the Secretary of State can). They both chose not to say what they knew and instead parrot pro-war talking points.

          I'm not seeing the difference.

          •  Powell didn't have the right to declassify info? (0+ / 0-)

            Really?

But then if Obama was so smart why did he keep funding this war when Edwards stopped.  Durbin supports Obama, and interestingly never spoke up at the time, just like Powell.  And the whole thing has been debunked.  4 senators voted yea and 5 nay.  I agreed with the nays.  However I like where Edwards is now.  My concern is Obama since he is a strong possibility.  He would take us down the wrong path.

You didn't answer my question.  And the fact that you don't see any difference indicates either deliberate obfuscation or lack of discernment on your part.

I foolishly thought I was going to get an honest answer.

However we know who Obama  likes to hang out with.  Lieberman and McCain - of all things to get a global warming bill.  We can see how principled that is going to be.  Probably to set up his Coal to Liquid Bill to add more pollution.

So all this talk of his not being a buddy of Lieberman is nonsense.  Here he is January 12, 2007, still buddies.

Usually when someone folds their arms across their chest means they are unapproachable.  I don't think Obama looks all that comfortable being next to those two guys.

at a pr event about the global warming bill they co-sponsored.  I can imagine what a great bill this will be with Mccain and Lieberman, and Obama with plans for the Coal to Liquid bill.

I know lots about body language.  I trained teachers and administrators on the topic.

Obama chose to work with these two.  Not with other Democrats though.  I guess Republicans are better on the environment.  Another brilliant move by Obama.

      •  Did Edwards seek Kemp out? (0+ / 0-)

Or, were they appointed to the task force? Harvey has a point, it's not like Edwards was trying to seek out Kemp so he could pick his brain. They were appointed on the same task force. Imagine if you compared who every politician had worked with. Obama and Coburn worked together on a bill, does that mean they're alike and Obama is going to start taking after Coburn?  Of course not!
