  •  Well I am sick of the Republicans (5+ / 0-)

and anyone that gives them any credence.  They need to be crushed before they can be redeemed.  The Republicans are all about loyalty.  I wish a few Democrats were.  Instead they cave to the Repubs.

    •  I completely disagree with your venomous (4+ / 0-)

position.  I have much more in common with my neighbors than the parties who make it their business to keep us divided would lead us to believe.  I am ready for a leader who understands that.

Lieberman has worked out for New Orleans?  Lieberman is the chair of the committee to oversee it.  Obama sponsors a bill with him this year on global warming standards.  You'd think there would be payback of sorts.  Has he tried to do anything for New Orleans?  With people like Lieberman it is all in one direction.  I haven't heard anything worthwhile yet.

What has this reaching out accomplished?  I am puzzled as to why this is such a brilliant strategy.  The Dems get rolled every time.  This question is not about Obama Edwards stuff at all.  I have a friend in New Orleans - Metairie who lost everything.  It still is such a fuck up.  And no one is taking a co-ordinated look at this.

        •  Show me how John Edwards' (0+ / 0-)

visits to New Orleans has helped us?  Now tell us how it's helped him.

In other words, I don't want someone using the ruins of my city to boost their career unless they plan on making it the centerpiece of their campaign.  Thus far, Edwards' use of New Orleans as an announcing ground has been seen as a sympathy ploy by most New Orleanians - even liberal white ones.  Want to know who the liberal faction of the democratic party are backing down here?  Barack Obama.

Your assuming that Obama made a deal with Lieberman about New Orleans.  I haven't heard about it, have you?
