What they did to those people is outrageous.

These poor people; they never had a chance.  With mandated direct deposit, anyone can come and take their money before they know it and they can't do a damn thing about it to stop it before it happens.

This is a perfect example of the repubs' fake mantra of "less government."  If there's "less government," then the companies, corporations, banks, thugs are free to screw with anyone and everyone... that is, unless you've got a lot of money and can hire people to protect you.

The law could be simple:  No bank at any time -- never -- can freeze or take any money less than the total amount that's ever been direct-deposited from Social Security. Period.

So before the bank freezes or takes the money, they have to review the account and total up the amount of money direct-deposited from SS, and that's the amount of money that can't be touched.  Simple.   Hell, even OJ gets to keep his pension and whatever else it was.

Souls, souls, blessings, blessings, prayers, prayers; Where's the leadership?
