    yoduuuh do or do not

I have, over the last few years, finally gotten over most of my anger at her for that.
If she is the one who could help us get universal health coverage, I'm not going to throw rocks at her, you know?
This is what my neighbors are saying. They like her. They don't follow politics  much at all, but they like that she's a fighter.

It's almost like the Great Depression and some people just hated FDR, while others with desperate need loved him no matter what. There are some very needy people now and it is not popular to recognize this.  Inside baseball doesn't matter to needy people. Results do.

big problem.  I would have never thought she would vote for the bk bill.

I probably will write a diary about what I think of Hillary as a canidate.  I will give a lot of thought and research to it.

There is no comparing FDR to Hillary.  He had a core she definitely lacks IMO.

We are still working out the dicotomy that FDR represented to both sides.  It takes money to make money basically plays out in politics.

It's just because it's getting pretty desperate here (Ohio).
Around me, in my block, 3 neighbors have to move because their houses got foreclosed. All their stuff's out on the lawns. They're desperate.
People say, "We need someone like FDR again."
And this is how they will evaluate a candidate.

    •  Watch out: (3+ / 0-)

If she is the one who could help us get universal health coverage,

universal health coverage is a sham phrase. It may mean guaranteed access to buying policies. It is not equal to single payer which will provide economies of scale as in Medicare with < 3% administrative costs compared to 20-30% for the insurance companies.

"universal health coverage" could just mean mandated insurance company coverage with subsidies for the very poor like the Mass plan.  You can still be killed by big copays, exclusions.   And by choice. Ever try to compare 14 or 20 different plans like we had to for medicare D??? it stunk. If you have a few conditions it's impossible to do. Do you pick a plan that's better for cancer but not so good for hearth disease?  Do you even know enough to evaluate? Is free choice of doctors better than a limited panel?

No one is cured by health insurance. It's health care that works.

Impeachment? Only when some Rethugs aboard. Pelosi/Reid can only pass measures they have the votes for. Write/call all: 800-828-0498

      •  What I had in mind (0+ / 0-)

Was a Canada-like program.  Or expanding Medicaid to  cover everyone.  I have no health insurance and no money to buy health insurance, so I do know what you mean.
