Great work, the corpse correlation work well.

Stephenson is one of my favorites.  Cryptonomicon is a damn good place to start reading him, it was the first of his I read and well worth it.

I read Stephenson's Baroque Trilogy before reading Cryptonomicon.  In a way that helped, because so many of the characters in the Baroque Trilogy are, literally, the 17th-Century ancestors of many of the characters in Cryptonomicon.  I don't know that I'd recommend the Trilogy to beginning Stephenson readers, though, as the whole thing together is about 3,000 pages long!  I read it during a six-month period when I had almost literally nothing else to do.  Interesting as it was, I don't think I could devote the time to it now, but I'm glad I read it.
