San Francisco is not on that transmission line.

How about I just blame you for the plants in northern Nevada?

The bulk of the coal capacity in the country is in the East along the Ohio river.   My family and I breathe that stuff when it falls on New Jersey.

Overall, California has a pretty decent electrical infrastructure.   To be sure, they have done some good stuff with renewables, including some of the oldest geothermal plants in the world.   They need to move away from the gas, but everybody does.

I would like to see them develop the Salton Sea geothermal fields further if they can find the water.

But California needs more nuclear energy.   Everybody does.
