    Scooter needn't be executed, but he certainly should be on trial with a substantive penalty known up-front if he lies or is convicted.

    ...Bush might push a pardon through to prevent it, but that would then wholly undermine his already tenuous standing, and may help push Congress toward impeachment of both he and Cheney. (Yeah, I know -- I'm dreamin' again...)

      it comes to this. Just what does Rove and/or Cheney have on these Dems? It's Rove's MO to get the nastiest stuff he can on people. It's usually in the context of a race, but if he can't unseat them he may try to control them.

        Ideally, most of the weakest have already fallen to the wayside or become irrelevant, and there's not much for Rove or Cheney to sink their teeth into...
