Scooter's perjury and obstruction of justice shielded criminals from facing the consequences that less powerful law-breakers face everyday. Furthermore, I feel strongly that people in positions of power in our government need to be held to a higher standard than our everyday citizens. I also feel that we need to keep the bar for treason very high.

When I think of this administrations law-breaking I, like you, think on a larger scale than the individual acts. When one has sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution and is charged with faithfully executing our laws and then engages in the law-breaking this administration has engaged in, well, they should suffer the most severe penalties possible, IMHO. My understanding is that treason is about aiding our enemies, this crowd's motivation seems to be self-enrichment. They are treacherous, to be sure, but treacherous and treasonous are not the same thing.

Which brings us to our Democratically controlled House... They, too, have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution, and they are faced with a law-breaking administration of epic proportions, yet they take Impeachment off the table. They won't take military strikes against Iran off the table, for strategic reasons, but they take Impeachment off the table, leaving them with only a carrot, and no stick, as means of dealing with an administration that is thumbing its nose at Congressional impotence. As far as I'm concerned, members of Congress are just as guilty of not fulfilling their Constitutional oaths of office as the Executive branch, which I find to reprehensible.

Congress don't act to end -- and prevent the recurrence of -- the criminal career of this Administration before it skips out of office with a pocketful of pardons and full immunity, then they'll deserve to swing alongside the criminals when international war crimes investigators start kidnapping 'em all off the streets of the US for their special rendition and anti-terror programs.

that crowd from the thirties and forties, but they got most of them. And this crowd is to prideful to go somewhere and be incognito.
