    and saw larocco speak, on his swing through oregon. was very impressed. idaho's a tough state, but it's time to make it competitive again!

      working with Frank Church. Larry L wrote about it very eloquently in the comments at his first diary here about five weeks ago:

      In the early '90s, Idaho had a Democratic governor (Cece Andrus) and two Democrats in Congress - LaRocco and Richard Stallings. So it wasn't THAT long ago that Dems were competitve statewide. It's going to happen again.

        twice elected to two terms, if i recall. it'll definitely happen again. idaho's a little different than the other mountain states, so it will lag a bit as they turn blue, but boise's growth has brought in a lot more progressive people. '08 could be a big year!

          MT and WY have Dem governors. Even Utah - the only other state with as lopsided a GOP statehouse - has a Dem congressman. It's our turn, darn it!
