  •  Indeed (9+ / 0-)

This was the point of my post.

I don't necessarily automatically support every Democrat by in the general election by default (although it usually works out that way).  I'll just make sure to not advocate for anyone who isn't a Democrat (if that ever occurs) on this site.

I don't want to piss in anyone's pool, so I wanted to ask the DKos community if they'd have me.

like is not required.  No one here is going to force you to vote Democratic or support a candidate you do not like.

We only ask you not support other candidates running to defeat that Democratic candidate you do not like.

ask that he not doggedly bash a Dem candidate or incumbent, from his support for a opposition candidate.

But I would think a good debate on the differences that lead him to choose the non-D candidate is a worthwhile discussion to have and a valuable debate to have.

So long as it doesn't become dogmatic and counter-productive.

PS - DAMN fine sig-line there!!! and remember, an Irishman is never drunk, so long as he can hold on to a blade of grass and not fall off the face of the earth!! hehe

How come he doesn't have to, but we do?

        Oh, yeah, 'cuz we're Democrats.

It's official, James Inhofe is a dumbass.

    •  hey, (6+ / 0-)

I'm a socialist, I still engage in discussion etc here (when I have time).
I think Bill Clinton was a conservative that I could vote for.

I only really get into it with libertarians, and even then, 9.5 out of 10 times I'll just close up the libertarian diary  or read past a libertarian comment and move on.

There's lots of room for discussion and different points of views here, as long as they are backed up with facts.

join in the discussion. we have dems, greens, indies and others.

Every once in a while we have a principled coservative hang around for a bit (usually doesn't last 'cause they get depressed).

Heh, I even opened up a RedState account.

I never posted with it because I couldn't wrap my head around most of the things they were saying.  The diversity of opinions aren't as good as I'd like them to be here, but at least people are sane.

        •  Hehe that's always a plus... (0+ / 0-)

          isn't it?

I for one, am glad to have ya. I'm more an independent than strictly Dem myself, but I seem to do just fine.

But of course I refuse to be baited into pointless flame wars that lose all sense of reason too. :) It's not easy, but I've never found discussions like that to be of much use.

PS - I've got an account on RS and ever Free Republic too. Almost never post, rarely read much, but injecting the occasional point or video link to shake up the perspective once in a while is fun.

EnderRS has stuck around for quite a long while and I think he's been a credit to the community.

But admittedly, I think he's the exception not the rule. :)
