  •  I respectfully disagree. (0+ / 0-)

I have worked every side of the health care business, provider (doc), health plan admin., hospital admin., and been a patient as well.  I continue to believe that we need to educate folks that "free" means access - not "no cost."

When Gupta raised the "its not free if you pay for it through taxes" argument, all MM had to do was say "yes - you are right - we would pay through taxes, and then just like primary education, law enforcement and fire protection, we would have free access to a needed service."

    •  And just WHY is that so important? (0+ / 0-)

The only reason I can see to insist on qualifying the word "FREE" is so there another reason to FEAR a government run system.

Besides, MM did cover that in the movie. When Gupta asked Moore to address the "fact" that, "the French are drowning in taxes", Moore chided him because THAT LINE IS FROM THE MOVIE.

SiCKO very directly addressed HOW these other countries pay for their health care. Gupta wants to attack the word "free" because it is too easy for the public to understand, not because Moore is ignoring it.

In 2000, a criminal became President. In 2004, we failed to remove him.
