    Maybe I'm just getting numb to the political masturbation to know when it's the real thing.

      for a majority of the House -- 218.  In theory, 218 representatives who adamantly refuse to fund the war could force an end to our involvement there.  

      Yes, that's still only 30% of the votes you'd need, but for 70 Congresscritters to sign this letter is a lot like all of them saying,

      "The emperor has no clothes!"  or  "The Chimperor has no clue!"

      Once a large number of people whose opinion has to be respected are willing to stand up and say such things, the consensus not to yell the obvious comes crashing down like a house of cards.

      We're all pretty crazy some way or other; some of us just hide it better. "Normal" is just a setting on the dryer.
