  •  Yeah, imagine that.... (25+ / 0-)

O'Reilly being out of touch with reality.  Remember when he said the Jews just needed to go back to Israel?

O'Reilly will claim this as a Victory.  I'll bet he claims it as a victory on his very next show. Now start thinking.  How can we spin this ourselves so it blows up in his face?

    •  JetBlue CEO response letter calls us "hateful" (7+ / 0-)

      From MYDD:

In his response letter to MYDD he wrote, in relevant part, the following, in response to what must have been thousands of hate-filled emails from dittoheads:

Our workforce of roughly 11,000 consists of a huge variety of backgrounds and belief systems. I was personally completely unaware of the existence of DailyKos prior to news connecting the YearlyKos convention and thus our airline ticket donation to DailyKos. I personally have never condoned and abhor anything hateful towards anyone and am fully confident that JetBlue's crewmembers share this view.

He says he has never been to or heard of DailyKos, and yet parrots the O'Reilly line that we are hateful/hatefilled?  Seriously?  Has he never heard of O'Reilly, or what O'Reilly says on a daily basis?  Did he not hear O'Reilly call us all Nazis on the air 2 nights ago?

This Dave Barger guy might know the airline industry (he worked at Continental for 20 years before switching over to JetBlue), but if he thinks that insulting us, who almost certainly fly more, and will be around a heckuva lot longer than the zombies who watch/listen to O'Reilly, then man, he just doesnt know business.

The world is so cold and the rythmn is your blanket, wrap yourself up in it, if you love it then you'll thank it.

      •  All the more reason to invite Bill O to... (0+ / 0-)

        YearlyKos.

If we believe in freedom of speech then let him make his case before the people he condemns.

Kos and the other folks that speak for DKos are perfectly capable of showing the leadership necessary to make sure that everyone minds their manners.

A room filled with silence after Bill O speaks would be  significant.  You can Boo and Hiss online at his website.

        •  Well you might pay money to sit and listen (0+ / 0-)

to O'Reilly's crap, but i surely would not. There are far too many things worthy of our time and attention to spend one second listening to hatemongers like O'Reilly.

A room filled with silence would signify nothing to O'Reilly -- he would just claim he was so brilliant we had no response. A liar is a liar is a liar. He is fundamentally dishonest and you can never win trying to deal with people (and I use the term loosely) like that as if they were amenable to intelligent discourse.

It's the same thing we keep telling the Democrats in Congress-- it doesn't matter what we do, they are still going to say hateful things about us and lie about us. To expect anything else is to set yourself up.

          •  I agree with you about... (0+ / 0-)

            Bill O's lying.

Just try to understand that Bill has made a national issue about DKos and YKos.  Most Americans still think and will be able to see through his BS.  It will get coverage via C-SPAN and the internet.  His falsehoods and bigotry will be drawn out into the sunlight and most Americans will side with us once his BS is exposed.  It would be a roll of the dice, but...?  I guess I say "let'em roll."

What have we got to lose?!?!

Besides, I think he will never take the offer.  Once that is made public knowledge it will show him as the Bully he is running away from the kid who finally stands up to him.
