    Since she and Rep. McNerney are the only two Dems to have beaten DCCC-backed candidates in their primaries, and since they were both labelled 'unelectable' prior to, you know, getting elected, I think she has a good case.  In fact, I'm pretty sure Rep. Shea-Porter was the only Dem to get elected (other than Ciro Rodriguez in his late special election) who wasn't included in "Red to Blue" at all.

    Plus, as I said above, the candidates added to "Red to Blue" by DCCC in the summer months got elected in November about twice as often as those endorsed in the primaries or during the 4th wave in October.  While DCCC is great at picking candidates who can win the nomination (depending on your sample universe, about 6/8), figuring out who can win in November is much more difficult.
