their time through brokers and so aren't sure where theire commericals are showing up at any given time.

Given how quickly Lowe's responded, I tend to think they really don't want to be affiliated with O'Reilly.

The truth is, however, that all political talk programming is probably going to suffer if people -- both left and right -- make it miserable for advertisers. Many companies simply won't purchase advertising on anything with any political affiliation.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be taking action. In fact, this could be a great way to get corporations out of politics. I'm currently boycotting several companies because their executives made poltical contributions I didn't like. If enough people make their lives miserable, they'll finally have to pull out altogether.

With one of your primary points. I think the precedent here is dangerous. Could our jumping on O'Reilly sponsors lead to a right-wing retaliatory strike on...say...Keith Olbermann? Sure it could. Could advertisers decide that political programming isn't worth the hassle to sponsor? Perhaps.

Interestingly, the best answer to this dilemma was the one JetBlue apparently had before it caved--"we have no trouble supporting all viewpoints." Translation--if a conservative group has a convention, we'll sponsor your asses, as well.

That said, I understand why the Kos community is doing what we are doing. O'Reilly and his band of octogenarians made a direct attack on us, and on those who made the decision to support us. To do nothing would be to embolden the enemy.
