    continues to shock me.  Maybe I'm unrealistically optimistic but I persist in thinking that the majority of people out there, given the choice, would prefer to hear unbiased news.  Facts, not opinions, pandering and speculation so that they can make their own informed decisions about a given situation.  Yet it seems more and more the so called news outlets are becoming more and more biased, one way or the other.  Any even more surprising is how openly biased they are.  There's no "slant", no pretense, their bias is ever more obvious.  Why do people tolerate this sort of thing?  

    It's depressing really.  Just seems like more and more people don't want to make their own choices but rather have their beliefs spoon fed back to them.
