Just keeps ringing in my mind how Sara Taylor came to view Bud Cummins as "lazy."

Did Tim Griffin tell her that?
Did Jane Cherry (for a period of time, Sara's deputy) tell her that from firsthand experience?
Did the WH Counsels Office tell her that because he wasn't prosecuting the cases Rove wanted?

    Taylor didn't know Cummins.

Did she just make it up?

Everybody in the DoJ and WHouse were making up stuff left and right to explain the firings, because they did not want to say "it was politically motivated purge".

Remember "because they mismanaged their offices?"  They "weren't pursuing immigration cases like we wanted them to"?

      •  Sounds like a guess. (4+ / 0-)

Do you have support for it? Since you’ve accused her of perjury, it would be nice if you could offer something to verify.

        •  These are both guesses (4+ / 0-)

There's some small smoke in what the diarist says, but I'm not so sure.  The question really is, who were the Cherry's supporting, Griffin or Cummins.  I lean toward Griffin myself.  If you were the mother, you'd want to forward your daughter's ambitions, not protect your boss (who may be your former boss soon) IMO.  But there's no hard proof presented that there is a connection there.  Good reporting and good diary.  Now we just need to see if the dots connect.

As for the suspicion that they just made up the reason, I lean toward that being true based on the other reasons given for dismissals (Carol Lam and immigration prosecution? Please..), but once again we need hard facts.

Nice job citizen92!  Keep up the good work.

      I couldn't remember her name.

It all stinks to high heaven.
