    But I feel we should put sensible laws on the books regardless.

    If government is breaking, the solution isn't to give up and dismantle it.  It's to fix it.  As citizens, we need to make every effort that our USA's AREN'T politicized.

        We still allow them to enforce most of our other laws.   Last I noticed, people's lives and politics could still be disrupted by the rest of the body of law.  What exactly do you think USA's are good for, anyway, if you have so little esteem for the position?

          US v Masel (Case No. 98-10014-X-01)
          Too many people for dinner around a campfire in the National Forest. The USA initially refused to prosecute, asking the Forest Service why they were wasting her time. Two weeks later she got a direct written order from Janet Reno's deputy. I lost that one, sentenced to a $100 fine, tho the charge could have netted me 9 months.
