  •  Tonight................... (4+ / 0-)

..............I honestly think we would be better off refusing to vote for any incumbant in this next election.

If there is no Green or Independent running, make a pact to vote 1st grade teachers and High School history teachers into office. We would be better off.

    This has broken my heart.

Not a gd politician deserves to hold the high office in Congress or the Presidency, if they can't defend the Constitution, and us from this lieing bastard.

The stakes are too high to allow this partisan clusterfuck to get so out of hand.

It should have never gotten to this point. When the 1st whif of unConstitutionalism poped up it should have been beat out of the Capital. But hardly a voice stood up and called the illegality of it all to task.

I know 1st grade teachers would do a better job of defending the Constitution and us too.

I won't vote for her again. My congressional rep too.

I am about to just vote in local elections and ignore national elections.

I'd rather vote for the challenging Republican if that's what I have to do to get her out of this endless incumbency.  I see it as a necessary evil to dislodge her from her perch and hopefully give a REAL Democrat a chance in 6 years.

        She absolutely disgusts me.

I'm just as discouraged and angry as anyone here. I've been sick at heart since last night. But getting Dianne out of office is not worth putting in a Republican who will vote against the Constitution every single time. Dianne at least will vote the right way on many issues.

But I am so disappointed about this. I remember Dianne from her SF Board of Supervisors days. She always seemed sensible, and was outspoken in a good way. I cannot imagine why she would cast a vote for such an abominable bill.

More than kicking these Dems out of office, what I want is an honest explanation from them. I want to know why they collaborated with Republicans on this despicable action.

is losing their job.  Senator Feinstein hasn't listened to her constituents, she's ignored the constitution, and she has a consistent track record of doing so.

I know that thousands of us have made ourselves heard to her and yet she continues to betray our best interests.

Diane needs to lose her job; even if it means putting up with a "centrist" Republican.  And frankly, it wouldn't be a big loss because that's essentially what Diane has become.

I certainly agree that she should feel the heat. How about a primary opponent? Say, when is Dianne's term up?

There are no "centrist Republicans." At least, not when it comes time to vote. On talk shows some of them say a lot of things, everyone marks them down as "centrist" or "reasonable," then they vote with the Republican position every time -- well, at least every time it matters.

when good people do nothing.  Don't let these goat-fucking fascists or their pets dictate your level of involvement in your government.

...the majority. They win because Democrats won't stop them.

Why should I waste my time voting people into office who don't work in my best interest?

          •  Wrong Democrats. (0+ / 0-)

Nobody's saying you should vote for anyone who doesn't protect your rights.  I'm saying don't let Republicans or their pets drive you out of the process, or even out of parts of the process.  It's your government and country, and those bastards are squatting in it.

Try to hold in your mind how much has been sacrificed over centuries for what each of us has; and all the hundreds of generations of slaves and serfs who could never have imagined the power you wield.  You should laugh at Republicans who think you'd be driven out of your stake in the course of the nation by these antics.

The vermin in the other party think we're so pusillanimous and effete we'd get discouraged and abandon a struggle that began in ancient Athens just because our party is still weak after only 7 months in power.  Very few if any Democrats support the actions of the collaborators, and it's our party--leaders can be ignored and replaced if they fail.  All they've done is delay the agenda, and every obstacle put in our way only makes us stronger by informing us of how to proceed.

Remember:  Not a single presidential candidate supported the spy bill.  They get it.
