    Tauscher a modicum of respect for not blaming a staffer for the gaffe.  She took the blame for her ignorance.

      Yes, she deserves credit for not blaming anyone else, and starting off with an apology that ends with corrective action. That's leadership.

      But if the truth is that it was indeed her system "malfunctioning", I want us to know. Not to direct anything further to Tauscher, who deserves congratulations (and should get them) for being a proper representative instead of being dogmatic. But because understanding why the pushback worked, in terms of actual office mechanics, will help guide future pushbacks on other offices to be more effective.

        she didn't start off with the apology it was buried deep in the middle of the form letter. It was an exact duplicate of a form letter several other CA-Kossacks got but mine had that itty bitty addition of,

        I apologize for inaccuracies contained in any earlier correspondence.

        Fine with me, I'll TAKE IT!
