First, thank you for all you do.

Part of what I took away from the Energize America panel at YKos, was the charge to Spread the Word.

In my home town, we are entering the throes of local elections. Rest assured, my candidates for mayor and commissioners will be looking at Energize America and Step It Up. I expect them to grab hold and take away much they can use in their campaigns and beyond.

    It's a start.

To call the Commander in Chief detached from reality would be an insult to paranoid schizophrenics everywhere. --billmon

If more people were like you, willing to stand up and speak.

There are a tremendous number of things that can be done at all levels.

RE Energize America, what would be great is to get local politicians contacting Representatives to call on them to contact Marcy Kaptur's office to be co-sponsors for the Energy Smart Community Bonds (ESCB) act that Kaptur's office is working on.

        I am doing nothing, comparatively.

Standing up and pointing is the very least one can do.

    •  Can you do a diary (0+ / 0-)

that's a how-to guide for bringing this into local elections and municipal government?

I plan on calling and meeting with a mayoral candidate and politely inform him that he can sound like an ex-fucking-pert if he just reads about Energize America and front-loads Step It Up.

Let him have the glory. That's what it's all about, after all.
